Solvay serious game

The Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management addresses current global economic challenges by offering a broad portfolio of programs, including 2 Bachelors, 6 Masters, 2 Complementary Masters, 6 Advanced Masters, 1 Executive MBA (available in full-time and part-time formats), 20 Executive Education programs, custom corporate training, PhD programs in Economics and Management, and 7 Postgraduate Masters in 2 Vietnamese universities (Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi).

Mission:

The mission was to digitize an internal “Serious Game,” initially available in Excel spreadsheets. This involved automating the setup of the game, enabling automatic result analysis for accurate assessment, and allowing for the simultaneous launch and management of multiple games.

Serious Game:

An exhaustive study of the entire Excel sheet, which included dozens of pages and thousands of calculations, was conducted. The digitized version integrates the ability to add teams and launch the Serious Game instantly, resulting in significant time savings. The automated calculation of team results, with instant graphical representations, contributes to more efficient outcomes. Additionally, a team management system was implemented, including management of team members and their rights for simplified administration.

Results:

The digitalization of the “Serious Game” for the Solvay Business School resulted in more efficient management, real-time analysis, and an enhanced user experience, thus contributing to the success and positive impact of the project.
